What would The Hacker’s Monarchy be without Viola? The immovable object, the unstoppable force, the kingpin, the cornerstone. Without her, there is no story! A talented artist by the name of Gexxonoire completed this piece, showcasing one of our first encounters with the Royal Purple herself. I wanted Viola’s outward appearance to epitomize a delicate beauty in order to enhance the stark juxtaposition of her inner turmoil, immense responsibility and devastating abilities.

When thinking of Viola, several scenes came to mind, but I think this one conceptualizes her perfectly. We’re able to see her captivating beauty hidden under the narrator’s sheer terror of revealing not only his identity, but the identity of his friends while participating in what would seem to be a harmless game of hacker hide and seek. This is Pat’s first experience encountering orange hacking, and who better to demonstrate the color than the Royal Purple, or rather her alias Oliva LaReine? We see in the composition Viola hacking the warm orange light to make reflections of herself, almost like a ventriloquist throwing their voice.

In a terrifying game of hide and seek. Pat must somehow find Viola in her sea of replicas without giving away that he has a hacking ability himself. If this game were to turn sideways, not only would Pat find himself in grave jeopardy, but his entire vagabond family would too. Hidden behind Viola’s pleasant, almost maternal demeanor lies utter annihilation if Pat cannot find a way out of this tricky situation.

To give some grounding and context to our readers, I wanted this piece to showcase the park in Atlanta, as well as give reference to the gladiator-style colosseum, that the Atlanta Arena became with the spotlights and cityscape in the background.
